Creating and managing your notes and ideas is a very simple task as long as you have the powerful HeroNote application by your side. The nice thing about this notes manager is that it comes with a lot of extra functionality you are sure to appreciate, things like a built-in browser, screen capture tool, link checker, HTML editor, eBook creator, and more.

To get started with HeroNote you will have to get a 2.9MB archive off the web and onto your machine. Extract the executable in the archive, run it, and a setup wizard will show up and help you install HeroNote; you can install the application on a PC powered by Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2003, and Server 2008 (32 as well as 64-bit editions).

When you launch HeroNote for the first time, it will prompt you to create a note. You can give a name to the note, select an icon, and pick the type of note you want to create (pick between web note, text note, shortcut, and empty). You can also create a note from a template (week plan and year plan), and you can clone an existing note (but there are none since this is the first time you use the application).

To help you quickly get started, a Welcome to HeroNote prompt is presented on the application’s interface by default. This tells you what the application can be used for and provides links to several entries from the Help file’s Getting Started section. To the left there’s the Note Explorer pane that can be minimized if you so desire – that’s something you will want to do when browsing the web, for example.

Creating a new note is a simple task and, as mentioned above, you will be helped to create one the moment you start using HeroNote. You can type in your thoughts (options to play with the text formatting are, of course, available) and you can accompany them with some pictures. On top of that, you can use the HeroNote application to browse the web, to edit HTML, to check links, to capture what’s displayed on the screen, create and publish eBooks, and generate various types of documents.

HeroNote offers a lot of functionality and you have a lot of time on your hands to uncover it all. The application is free to try for an evaluation period of 60 days. This should be enough time to uncover everything HeroNote can do and enough time to decide if you want to purchase a license or not.

Easily create and manage notes and enjoy all the extra functionality HeroNote has to offer.

Pros

HeroNote works with 32 and 64-bit Windows editions. You will be prompted to create a note when you launch the application; pick between several types of notes. The Welcome to HeroNote window explains what you can do with the application. HeroNote is a properly good note manager that has a lot of extra functionality to offer.

Cons

None that I could think of.
